These awesome mathematicians have been seeing our skip counting in a particular number can help us with our times tables. Here are our Batmen groups showing what they have learned.

Week 3 Notices

Malo e lelei to all our students and parents. We have had some wonderful learning taking place over the last few weeks. Our concept for this term is Health and Wellbeing and our children took part in some wonderful ignition activities, learning alongside different teachers and seeing the importance of eating healthily, exercising, how important parts of our bodies need to be looked after and the ability to self regulate through mindfulness. These will hopefully spark some interest and passion for our children. It is important to discuss this at home with your child too. This Friday Rm 14 kids will be attending the morning Parish Mass. This starts at 9am. All parents are invited. This will then be followed by a shared morning tea in the church hall.  We would like to ask that our students can bring in something light to share for this. If you are able to help with serving tea and coffee, that would be much appreciated too. What's happening this week: Tue: Library Thur: Ascension Li

Even more wonderful mathematicians

Check out these awesome kids learning about analogue time. Yes we know this is easy peasy Japaneesy, but these kids didn't just learn about o'clock. They had to draw their own clock and it was a bit tricky to fit the numbers that went around the clock face. We used the numbers 12, 6, 3 and 9 as our markers and filled out the rest from there. Next, we will look at half and quarter past of an analogue clock.

More wonderful mathematicians

These cool kids have been doing something cool called choral counting to help us see patterns. Today we skip counted and added a 10 to the next number. This is a really great way to encourage going into our hundreds numbers for numeral identification.

Cross Country Remider

Hello awesome peeps! We still have a few parents who have not yet filled out the form for Cross Country. If you haven't filled out the transportation form for the Cross Country day please do so, we will be needing parent support on the day both for transportation and marshaling if you are able to help we would appreciate it. Cross Country is in Week 4 of the term Cross Country Form Thank you.

Check out these cool kids adding 10 onto a number. We have been looking at skip counting and adding a 10 through choral counting. This has now helped us to se the pattern and add on a 10 from any number up to 100.

Karakia

This term, one of our goals is to recite a Maori Karakia. We know that when we recite something, we are memorising it and then saying it. Here is Josh, Abby and Adam reciting a karakia about Unity.

It will be in their google drive account. Please keep in your prayers those children who no longer have their mothers with them. I wanted to thank everyone for the time you took last week to be involved in your child's goal setting for this term. It was a pleasure to see all of my parents and also to meet new parents. Our children looked so charming in their national costumes dressing up for 'Children’s World of Prayer' day. They looked so proud to be part of this. The mini-marathon on Friday was a great day out. It's nice to see our whanau support, running, and cheering on our tamariki thank you.
