Namaste and welcome back to the commencement of Term 3 2021 😀 I hope all children enjoyed a well-deserved break from school and are prepared for another term of important learning.  It is a good time to remember that the world is still in the midst of a serious pandemic and that we should feel privileged to live in a country with no community transmission. We will be reminding children to still take basic health precautions like washing hands regularly, using hand sanitiser, tissues, and coughing or sneezing into the inside of elbows. We kindly ask you to reinforce this message and please keep your child home if they are sick. Things on this week: Life Education begins at St Mary's on Monday, featuring Katie and of course Harold the Giraffe. All Kahikatea Middle School classes will have an opportunity to visit the Life Education van for lessons. You may wish to ask your child about what they have been learning in Life Education. Reports are due to go home this Friday the 30th of

It felt fitting that last week we practiced Christian Meditation, led by Sister Rachel and Sister Ema from the Sisters of Compassion in Wellington.  During these sessions, children were asked to sit in  S ilence and  S tillness with a  S traight back and  S ay the word Maranatha to themselves, meaning come Lord Jesus. If you hear your child talking about the 4  S  words, this is what they are referring to.  Christian Meditation is something we are going to continue as a school. It provides an opportunity to take a break and be still, in an otherwise very busy environment!  Things on this week: Tuesday  - Library Wednesday   - Kapa Haka.  Thursday( Last Day of School)   -  PTA is hosting a disco which is going to be held from  5.30 pm - 7.00 pm.  Students are to be at school  no
