Week 3 Notices

 Talofa everyone, 

We sure did have a fabulous first few days back at school. I have good feeling that we are going to have a great year!

Thank you for your contributions towards our fundraiser for Apanui School. Please keep them in our prayers and pray that our Heavenly Father will be with the Apanui School community during this challenging time.

Our Inter School Tug of War was a success. Congratulations to Mill Hill House for your win. Everyone had a wonderful time.

Library: Our Class library day is Monday.

Swimming: We've had a lot of questions being asked about when swimming starts. This will start next week in week 4.

What's on this week:

Monday: Cricket/ Library

Wednesday: Ash Wednesday Liturgy 9am in the church

Thursday: Singing Practice

Friday: School Mass at 9am in the church. All are welcome.

  Tena koutou. We hope all our mothers were treated with some lovely surprises today. Happy Mother's Day to all our beautiful mothers! Most of our students completed a virtual Mother's Day card. It will be in their google drive account. Please keep in your prayers those children who no longer have their mothers with them. I wanted to thank everyone for the time you took last week to be involved in your child's goal setting for this term. It was a pleasure to see all of my parents and also to meet new parents. Our children looked so charming in their national costumes dressing up for 'Children’s World of Prayer' day. They looked so proud to be part of this. The mini-marathon on Friday was a great day out. It's nice to see our whanau support, running, and cheering on our tamariki thank you. Yes School's about to start!

  Rm 14/15 2021 Teachers: Tai Waititi and Sophie Bowie Kia Ora Tatou. I’m Tai but in the class setting I am known as Mrs YTT, mama and yes sometimes nana. Teaching makes me feel like a rock star ( which is probably what I want to be when I grow up). Every day, I have children run up to me, giving me hugs, calling my name over and over again as they hear me rocking with our class guitar, Jack. I adore the children I teach and learning new things from them. I am so excited to be their teacher this year. Hello! My name is Sophie, also known as Miss Bowie. I am very excited to be starting a new adventure at St Marys this year after teaching for 4 years at Kawaha Point School. Week 7 Notices

Kia ora whanau,  We hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend enjoying this gorgeous summer weather! It is hard to believe that there are only three weeks of the term left! Looking back at what was going on this time last year, it was jam packed with lots of activity. Unfortunately many activities have had to be cancelled this year due to COVID and many more will also need to be cancelled. We are currently trying to figure out how our end of year celebrations, such as prize giving and Mass, will be able to be held. These will need to fit the new traffic light system. We will keep you updated when we know when we finalise these arrangements. School Magazine We are publishing a school magazine again this year, and this will be available during the last week of this term. At this stage there are only to be 100 magazines printed.
