Term 1 Week 2 Notice

 Kia ora tatou, we are all ready for our first day of school and I am so excited to see each of our students smiling faces tomorrow. It is a short week, which is a great way to ease our children back into school mode without too much of a shock to the system.

It was an absolute pleasure meeting one on one and chatting with your child. Thank you all for taking some time out of your very busy schedules to come and meet with us. I have never done anything like this before and I found it to be a very valuable experience.

Just a few week reminders for the week:

Tuesday: Powhiri and Waitangi Liturgy at 10:15am. 

Friday: Golden Time Interschool House Competition Tug of War

Don't forget your sunhat. Our sun is pretty strong this summer so we need to be extra careful.

  Tena koutou. We hope all our mothers were treated with some lovely surprises today. Happy Mother's Day to all our beautiful mothers! Most of our students completed a virtual Mother's Day card. It will be in their google drive account. Please keep in your prayers those children who no longer have their mothers with them. I wanted to thank everyone for the time you took last week to be involved in your child's goal setting for this term. It was a pleasure to see all of my parents and also to meet new parents. Our children looked so charming in their national costumes dressing up for 'Children’s World of Prayer' day. They looked so proud to be part of this. The mini-marathon on Friday was a great day out.   Rm 14/15 2021 Teachers: Tai Waititi and Sophie Bowie Kia Ora Tatou. I’m Tai but in the class setting I am known as Mrs YTT, mama and yes sometimes nana. Teaching makes me feel like a rock star ( which is probably what I want to be when I grow up). Every day, I have children run up to me, giving me hugs, calling my name over and over again as they hear me rocking with our class guitar, Jack. Kia ora whanau,  We hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend enjoying this gorgeous summer weather! It is hard to believe that there are only three weeks of the term left! Looking back at what was going on this time last year, it was jam packed with lots of activity. Unfortunately many activities have had to be cancelled this year due to COVID and many more will also need to be cancelled. We are currently trying to figure out how our end of year celebrations, such as prize giving and Mass, will be able to be held. These will need to fit the new traffic light system. We will keep you updated when we know when we finalise these arrangements. School Magazine We are publishing a school magazine again this year, and this will be available during the last week of this term. At this stage there are only to be 100 magazines printed.
