Week 7 Notices

Good morning to everyone on another lovely sunny day.

Happy Fathers Day to all our dads, we hope you have a special day in your bubble.

It's hard to believe that almost three weeks ago we went into lockdown.  A big thank you to all of our families for the support you are giving your children with their Home Learning Programmes during this time.  It has been a big learning curve for many of us and certainly a time of building resilience.  I feel so blessed to work in such a supportive and caring community.

The Prime Minister announces late Monday afternoon what the next plan is.  Fingers crossed we move to Level 2 soon.

This week we will continue with the Home Learning online. We have our daily meetings on Google Meet at 10am. The children and us teachers have been enjoying connecting and doing some fun activities. We hope you have had no problems accessing the learning on the Middle School Kahikatea site. Remember that all the information regarding home learning can be found on the class blogs and Kahikatea Site. If you have any concerns or questions do not hesitate to contact me, my email is taiw@stmarysrotorua.school.nz

Mr James and his techies have put together another virtual assembly. Please see the post below. Congratulations to those kids who received an award.

We realise that many parents will be working from home and that time to help children with their learning may be limited. The learning posted on the site is intended to be independent work for the children as much as possible. Please encourage your child to do as much work as is feasible given the lockdown realities in your household bubble.

Looking forward to seeing your awesome cherubs online tomorrow.

Mrs Waititi and Kahikatea Team
